MANAGEMENT
 
Jennifer Siegrist has been in the field of design since 1996, working with a wide variety of businesses; from small boutique design firms, ad agencies, newspaper and journal publishers to multi-national corporations. Ms. Siegrist graduated from Boston University in 1988 with a degree in English and a minor in Business Management. With her skills in corporate communications she worked for many different companies in many fields before deciding to concentrate on the field of design. Among others, she worked for Computer Sciences Corporation in the finance department, Filenes Basement as a sales manager for their flagship store in downtown Boston and as a Russian translator for a joint-venture firm. Prior to opening her own firm Ms. Siegrist worked as a graphic designer for Polaroid, New York Life, OneBeacon Insurance and Thomson Financial. She is married and lives in southern New Hampshire with her husband, son and daughter.
Harry Standel, Director New Business Development
A graduate of Boston University’s College of Engineering, Harry Standel has more than 30 years of  business experience in executive positions. With education at Boston University’s School of Fine Arts, he is also an accomplished fine artist and photographer. Initially as an engineer, Mr. Standel worked on the Apollo Program as well as numerous other aircraft, missile and space projects. As a real estate developer, Mr. Standel has participated directly as Developer, Investor, Owner, Contractor, Manager and Joint Venturer with major institutions. He has received numerous awards including the Victorian Society of America’s award for “preserving the historic fabric of the City of Boston.” Additionally Mr. Standel, in association with the Chinese community of Boston, developed, owned and managed Boston’s China Trade Center and secured support and funding for the project from the U.S. Dept. of Housing and Urban Development, The City of Boston and a consortium of several of Boston’s leading  banks. Mr. Standel’s experience includes international business activities from South Asia to Eastern Europe as well as owning and operating a deep sea research vessel the RV Bay Explorer. Recently he was selected in a New Hampshire, state-wide competition to design and build a national demonstration project by the American Lung Association. This project, the construction of a cutting edge, unique, residence was featured in Country Living Magazine. Mr. Standel’s experience in seeking out and securing a wide variety of business opportunities provides Calliope Creative with a broad perspective in its growth.
